Mon Hérisson
Tillie’s learning curve for french has arced upwards really quickly recently. All of a sudden, she is happy to chat in either language, and if you ask her a question in french, she answers in french, too. I suspect that this is mostly due to the fact that, as far as I can tell, she and her friends basically sing all day at crêche. So, when she comes home, she sings the new songs she’s learned for us. Her current favorite is mon hérisson (recorded surreptitiously while she was singing to herself in bed while “reading” one of her books):

haircut
After months of pulling out barrettes and not being able to see through her dangling locks, Til consented to bangs today. I think her stylist did a great job, no?

Happy Birthday Tillie!
Today is the big day and Tillie got a jump start on the celebrations by waking up at 5:30. She doesn’t seem to understand that she wasn’t born until 9 at night, but that’s okay. It’s been an incredible year and we’re glad she wants to maximize the party time.
We hope you’ll all leave some birthday wishes for Til, especially you 100+ lurkers. We know you’re out there, now reveal yourselves and send some birthday cheer…
